How does the future look like? Will that be possible to connect with aliens fascinating?
Trends in 35 years
The Asian era will begin in 2050. Labour force from emerging countries will be simultaneously developed. Frugal engineering / innovation will become mainstream in the meantime. Secondary sector of the economy will be converted increasingly into a tertiary part. Typical issues such as overurbanisation, economic inequality, and ageing population will exist at the same time.
Efforts we should make
‘Our government is supposed to give priority to the Trans-Pacific Strategic Economic Partnership Agreement (TPP),’ Prof Liang emphasised directly. Hence, science and industrial parks in Taiwan as well as San Francisco Bay Area in the US could be of mutual benefit for dynamics of innovation. Most importantly, freedom, democracy, safety, and convenience are invaluable for our country.
Chance for the youth
Domain knowledge with languages is the strength, especially in the young generation. Being helpers is good enough, being experts is better, while becoming spidermen is the best toward the trend. All in all detailed plans and resource integration could make dreams come true.
Technology of the future
Cellular network, cloud computing, robotisation, intelligent transportation system, genetics, 3D printing, advanced materials, etc. – released by the Center for Strategic & International Studies (CSIS) – show the vision of lifestyle. People can look forward to a brand-new world at length.
